ABOUT ME

I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with over 13 years of experience in the private and clinical setting.  One of my main objectives is to collaborate with my client’s parents as well as any other professionals to equip the children I serve with the ability to communicate effectively with others.

I was born in California but was raised in Mexico until I was 11 years old.

Being bilingual is a gift that not only opens many doors but has been proven to be beneficial for children as it improves cognitive functions linked to critical thinking, problem solving skills, and develops strong sense of cultural identity.

I discovered Speech-language Pathology while completing longitudinal research with Cerebral Palsy patients for the CSUN department of Psychology in the country of Guatemala.  I originally wanted to be a Marriage and Family Therapist, but once I got to know the field of Speech Pathology, I knew I had found my calling.  Speech Language Pathology provided the gratification of helping children communicate and supporting their parents through the process of speech therapy.
